March 19 (SeeNews) - The Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) said on Thursday it removed retailer Mercator [LJE:MELR] from its blue-chip index, SBITOP, which tracks the most liquid and highly capitalized stocks on the LJSE.
Following a regular quarterly review, the bourse has decided that the blue-chip index will have seven components, it said in a statement on its website. Currently, it has eight components.
The changes in the composition of the SBITOP will be applied as of March 23.
Chemicals producer Cinkarna Celje [LJE:CICG], brewer Pivovarna Lasko [LJE:OILR] and food company Zito [LJE:ZTOG] have been put on the watch list for inclusion in the index, it added.
