June 24 (SeeNews) - The benchmark index of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE), SBITOP, opened down 1.98% on Friday and kept on falling during the first half hour of trading following news that the UK has voted to leave the European Union.
SBITOP, which tracks the most liquid and highly capitalised stocks on the LJSE, opened at 682.13 points, down from 695.92 points at Thursday's close, and then dived further to 678.72 points at 9:59 CET.
Five of the seven blue chips are currently down, with insurer Zavarovalnica Triglav [LJE:ZVTG] the top loser, down 4.1% from Thursday's close.
