October 18 (SeeNews) - Passenger traffic at Slovenia's Ljubljana airport increased 2.2% year-on-year to 273,674 in the first nine months of 2021, data by airport operator Fraport Group showed.
Aircraft takeoffs and landings at Ljubljana airport went up 23.5% to 13,174 in the January-September period, while cargo traffic increased by 8.8% to 8,231 tonnes, according to figures published on the website of Germany's Fraport Group.
In September alone, Ljubljana airport serviced 65,133 passengers, aircraft movements totalled 2,205, while cargo transport amounted to 967 tonnes.
In 2020, passenger traffic at Ljubljana airport fell 83.3% year-on-year to 288,235.
Elsewhere in Southeast Europe, Fraport Group operates the airports in the Bulgarian Black Sea cities of Varna and Burgas.
