PRISTINA (Kosovo), May 22 (SeeNews) – Kosovo's trade deficit narrowed 37.6% year-on-year to 161.2 million euro ($175.6 million) in April, the country's statistical office said on Friday.
Exports fell by 11.5% to 32.6 million euro in the month under review and imports decreased by 34% to 193.9 million euro, the Agency of Statistics said in a monthly economic report.
Kosovo's main export destinations in April were Albania, Germany and Switzerland. Base metals and plastic products were Kosovo's main export items.
Food, beverages and tobacco, machinery, mechanical and chemical industry products made up the bulk of Kosovo's imports in April. Most of the imports originated in Turkey, Germany and China.
