October 22 (SeeNews) - Kosovo's trade deficit increased by 43.1% year-on-year to 351.3 million euro ($408.6 million) in September, the country's statistical office said on Friday.
Exports rose by 66.2% year-on-year to 69.3 million euro, while imports increased by 46.4% to 420.6 million euro in September, the statistical office said in a statement.
Kosovo's main export destinations in September were the U.S., Albania and North Macedonia. Base metals, various manufactured articles, and plastic and rubber products were Kosovo's main export items.
Transport means, mineral products, and base metals made up the bulk of Kosovo's imports in September. Most of the imports originated in Germany, Turkey and the U.S.
