July 1 (SeeNews) - Kosovo's gross domestic product (GDP) increased by a real 4.1% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2019, after growing by 3.8% in the previous quarter, the statistical office said.
Measured in current prices, Kosovo's GDP totalled 1.38 billion euro ($1.6 billion) in the January-March period, Kosovo Agency of Statistics said in a statement late on Friday.
Gross capital formation increased by 7.4% year-on-year in the first three months of 2019, exports of goods and services rose by 6.7% and imports grew by 8.1%.
Kosovo's economy expanded by a real 4.23% in 2017, after growing by 4.1% in 2016.
Kosovo's 2019 state budget envisages up to 4.7% economic growth and deficit equivalent to 2.0% of GDP.
