January 24 (SeeNews) - Kosovo will require evidence of a booster dose of an anti-Covid-19 vaccine from foreign nationals who enter the country, aiming to slow the spread of the disease, the prime minister's office said.
Travellers can also enter Kosovo with a certificate of vaccination with two doses, or one dose of the Janssen vaccine, provided they also show a recent negative test for Covid-19 upon arrival, the prime minister's office said in a statement on Friday.
Transit passengers, transporters, diplomats, children under the age of 12 years as well as citizens of Kosovo who have stayed out of the country no more than 12 hours before arrival will be exempt from the new requirement.
The new measures entered into force on January 22 and will be valid until February 4.
Kosovo registered 2,708 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, according to January 24 data by the World Health Organisation (WHO).
