October 12 (SeeNews) - Kosovo's capital, Pristina, inaugurated its first technological innovation park, supported by a 1.2 million euro ($1.3 million) investment from the government, prime minister Albin Kurti said on Thursday.
TechPark Pristina provides a 4,000-square-metre space for tech training for youth and startups, Kurti said in a social media video published by state broadcaster RTK.
The project was co-financed by the European Union, which has invested an additional 500,000 euro, and implemented by Kosovo’s information and communication technology association (STIKK), executive director of STIKK Vjollca Cavolli, said earlier.
The tech park's interior boasts an open space capable of accommodating around 30 startups, each with three to four employees, alongside offices designed for medium-sized companies.
