May 25 (SeeNews) - Kosovo launched a 6.5 million euro ($6.9 million) EU-funded programme to strengthen its law enforcement capabilities, president Vjosa Osmani said on Thursday.
“Rule of law is not just a priority on paper for Kosovo's institutions, it’s a priority for all our people and as such, it is a priority for me too, as president,” Osmani said in a social media video.
The programme will be implemented over a period of three years with the support of France, Italy and Belgium, the EU said earlier. It aims to strengthen the capacities of Kosovo institutions to fight organised crime and enhance international cooperation.
