April 22 (SeeNews) - Kosovo and Serbia reached an EU-mediated agreement over ADR certificates issue after eight months of negotiations, Kosovo's ministry of trade and industry announced.
Both countries agreed to recognize the documents, which companies transporting hazardous substances in Europe are required to hold, the so-called ADR certificates, the ministry said on Wednesday.
The agreement is in accordance with the 2011 Brussels agreement for free trade and the vision and ideas of CEFTA. It will enter into force on April 25.
On March 21, Kosovo closed its border for Serbian companies transporting dangerous goods after Serbia stopped accepting the ADR certificates of Kosovo road hauliers in August 2015.
