May 7 (SeeNews) - Croatia's biggest telecommunication services provider, Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT-R-A], said it will pay a dividend of 10 kuna ($1.5/1.3 euro) per share this year, higher than last year's 6 kuna per share.
The dividend will be distributed from both the 2018 profit and HT's retained profit, the company said in a statement on Monday.
A total of 568.5 million kuna, or 7 kuna per share, will come from the 2018 profit, while a further 243.7 million kuna, or 3 kuna per share, will come from retained earnings.
The ex-dividend date is May 20.
HT also said that 422 million kuna from the 2018 net profit remaining after the dividend distribution will be used to increase the company's share capital to 10.2 billion kuna.
HT posted a net profit of 1.06 billion kuna last year, up 23% from 863 million kuna in 2017.
