September 20 (SeeNews) - Croatia's Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT-R-A] said on Monday it is holding 203,697 of its own shares, representing 0.254470% of the company's issued equity capital, after repurchasing a total of 1,317 shares on September 17.
On Friday, Hrvatski Telekom bought back the shares shares at a weighted average price of 190.5 kuna ($29.7/23.4 euro) apiece, it said in a filing with the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE).
Hrvatski Telekom said in April it plans to buy back up to 3 million of its own shares by 2026 under a programme that aims to withdraw shares that have no nominal value without reducing the share capital. The telco also said it will offer some of the repurchased shares to its employees.
Since the beginning of the year HT has withdrawn 718,720 own shares without reducing its share capital. This way, it has cut the overall number of outstanding shares from 80,766,229 to 80,047,509.
HT's shares traded at 190 kuna intraday on Monday on the Zagreb bourse, down 1.04% compared to their closing price on Friday.
