April 27 (SeeNews) - Serbia's IGB Automotive Comp, a unit of German maker of automotive seat heating systems IG Bauerhin, launched construction of a 4.5 million euro ($5 million) plant in the municipality of Indjija, the government in Belgrade said on Wednesday.
The construction of the plant is expected to be completed in September 2017, the government said in a statement.

It will employ 2,000 workers.
In January the Indija local authorities said IGB Automotive Comp's new manufacturing facility, covering 7,000 sq m, will produce car seat heaters, steering wheel heaters and occupancy sensors.
IGB Automotive Comp employs more than 1,500 workers and manufactures over 16 million products annually. The company has been operating in Serbia since 2007.
