October 23 (SeeNews) - The Croatian unit of German cosmetics and consumer goods retailer dm-drogerie markt said it plans to open 20 new stores in the fiscal year 2009/2010 that started on October 1.
The retailer plans to add 100 staff over the guidance period, it said in a statement on Thursday.
The Croatian company (www.dm-drogeriemarkt.hr), a subsidiary of the Austrian arm of the German concern, said its turnover rose 17.4% to 1.8 billion kuna ($374.5 million/249.3 million euro) in the fiscal year ended September 30, 2009.
The company’s investments totalled some 53 million kuna over the review period as it expand its retail network by 13 outlets, the statement said.
It currently runs 117 stores in 40 Croatian cities.
Across southeast Europe, dm-drogerie markt is also present in Romania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Slovenia and Serbia.
