January 19 (SeeNews) - French car parts maker Le Belier plans to start operating in June a new unit for production of aluminium castings at its factory in Kikinda, in northern Serbia, according to Serbian media reports.
The company intends to invest a total of 7.5 million euro ($9.2 million) in the construction of the new unit, web portal Kikindske Novine quoted the director of the factory, Jean Sebastien Ackx, as saying on Thursday.

"We have invested 6 million euro in the construction of the unit. By the end of the year, we plan to invest an additional 1.5 million euro in it."
Le Belier plans to hire 50 employees at the Kikinda factory by the beginning of February, while a further 100 jobs will be opened by the end of 2018, Ackx added.
Le Bélier is a global group specialized in the manufacture of moulded aluminium safety components for cars. It opened its factory in Kikinda in 2003. Initially, the factory had 75 employees.
