BELGRADE (Serbia), March 3 (SeeNews) – The number of foreign tourists who visited Serbia in January went up 28.7% on the year to 106,774, statistical office data showed.
The number of overnights spent by foreign tourists in Serbia increased by 28.7% year-on-year, to 296,576 in January.
Montenegro was Serbia's biggest feeder market in January, with 8,997 tourists, up 11.4% on the year. Bulgarian citizens followed, up 27.5% to 8,603. Visitors from Croatia came third, up 44.9% to 8,545.
The number of domestic tourists increased by 20.2% on the year to 113,959 in January, taking the total number of tourists to 220,733, up 24.2%.
