BUCHAREST (Romania), August 23 (SeeNews) - Blue-chip investment fund Fondul Proprietatea [BSE:FP] led the gainers among the blue-chips on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) on Wednesday, bourse data showed.
Fondul Proprietatea shares traded 0.69% higher at 0.8740 lei, generating the day's third largest turnover of 3.69 million lei.
The total equity turnover of the BVB rose to 52.6 million lei ($13.5 million/11.5 million euro) from 31.89 million lei on Tuesday.
Blue-chip natural gas producer Romgaz [BSE:SNG] lost 0.64% to 31.2 lei in the day's largest turnover of 6.04 million lei
SIF Banat Crisana BSE:SIF1] gained 2.04% in 2.25 lei in the day's second largest turnover of 5.34 million lei.
BVB said on Wednesday that its deputy chief Alin Barbu will fill in for CEO Ludwik Sobolewski, who is awaiting an extension to his term of office.
Currently, Barbu legally represents the BVB and ensures its day-to-day management, in accordance with internal rules, BVB said in a press release.
