March 16 (SeeNews) - Foreign direct investment (FDI) into Romania reached 1.176 billion euro ($1.24 billion) in January, up from 872 million euro in the same period of 2022, the central bank, BNR, said on Thursday.
Equity investment, including estimated net reinvestment of earnings, amounted to 919 million euro and inter-company lending totalled a net 257 million euro at the end of January, the central bank said in a statement citing provisional data.
In 2022, FDI into Romania rose to 10.698 billion euro from 8.94 billion euro in the previous year.
