March 30 (SeeNews) - The European Union has committed to providing up to 68 million euro ($75.3 million) to Kosovo to help the country fight the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and its impact on the economy, Nataliya Apostolova, head of EU office in Kosovo, said.
The financial assistance will include up to five million euro for immediate needs, up to 50 million euro to ease socio-economic impact and up to 13 million euro to support Kosovo's budget, Apostolova said in a Twitter post last week.
The number of coronavirus cases in Kosovo has reached 94 as of Sunday, the national institute of public health said, as quoted by public service broadcaster Radio Television of Kosovo.
