May 24 (SeeNews) - Serbian civil engineering group Energoprojekt [BEL:ENHL] generated nearly two-thirds of the total share turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Wednesday, as stock indices declined, bourse data showed.
Energoprojekt lost 0.07% on Wednesday and closed at 1,501 dinars. The civil engineering company generated a turnover of 15.1 million dinars. It was the most traded company on the stock exchange as 10,112 of its shares changed hands in 98 transactions.
Construction company Jedinstvo [BEL:JESV] led the blue-chip gainers list on the Belgrade stock exchange on Wednesday, as it won 1.90% and closed at 4,993 dinars. A total of 505 shares in the company changed hands in three deals, generating a stock turnover of 2.5 million dinars.
The blue-chip BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade bourse, lost 0.47% to 735.64 points on Wednesday. On Tuesday, the index declined 0.10% to 739.12.
The broader BELEXline, a free‐float market capitalisation weighted index, fell 0.29% on Wednesday and closed at 1,584.02. The index fell 0.19% to 1,588.70 on Tuesday.
Lender Komercijalna banka [BEL:KMBN] paced the blue-chip decliners on Wednesday, after declining 2.93% to 1,820 dinars. A total of 2,000 of the lender's shares changed hands in a single transaction, generating a turnover of 3.6 million dinars.
The total stock trading turnover on the bourse rose to 23.7 million dinars ($216,031/192,937 euro) on Wednesday from 25.1 million dinars on Tuesday, as 255 share transactions were carried out. Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the bourse came in at 391,711 dinars.
