October 19 (SeeNews) - The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) said on Monday it mulls lending up to 27 million euro ($40 million) to the central Romanian city of Sibiu for infrastructure projects.
The loan would be provided "in two tranches of up to 11.5 million euro committed and up to 15.5 million euro un-committed (to be committed within the next two years) for a comprehensive street rehabilitation programme and construction of one small road bridge,” EBRD said in a statement.
The loan is pending EBRD board's final approval on December 15.
The total cost of the infrastructure projects is estimated at up to 33 million euro, EBRD said.
