SKOPJE (Macedonia), October 1 (SeeNews) – The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) said on Thursday it is lending 1.0 million euro ($1.46 million) to Macedonian dairy Mlekara Zdravje Radovo DOO to finance the company’s expansion and diversify its production.
"The Bank’s support will help Zdravje Radovo consolidate its strong position on the Macedonian dairy market, and will enable the company to expand further in neighbouring countries," EBRD said in the statement.
Zdravje Radovo is one of the top three dairy producers in Macedonia, currently offering over 40 products, the bank said. The dairy has production units in the southern region of Strumica and in northern city of Kumanovo. It employs some 120 people.
EBRD has committed more than 506 million euro in over 40 projects in Macedonia since 1993. The bank’s investments have attracted additional financing worth more than 620 million euro, it said in the statement.
