BELGRADE (Serbia), May 18 (SeeNews) – Insurer Dunav Osiguranje saw its share of the total premium income of Serbia's insurance sector rise to 26.8% in 2017 from 25.7% in the previous year, and the company remains leader in the sector, the central bank said on Friday.
Dunav Osiguranje generated a premium income of 24.927 billion dinars ($249.2 million/211.2 million euro) in 2017, the largest premium income among Serbian insurers, the central bank, NBS, said in a quarterly report on the performance of the country's insurance sector published.
Generali followed with 19.777 billion dinars of premium income, or 21.2% of the total, according to the report.
The capital adequacy ratio of Serbian life insurers stood at 241.5% at the end of December, while the capital adequacy ratio of non-life insurers amounted to 208.4%, NBS said.
