SOFIA (Bulgaria), July 26 (SeeNews) – Deposits by the non-government sector in Bulgarian banks rose to 68.5 billion levs ($40.8 billion/35.0 billion euro) by the end of June, up 5.6% year-on-year, the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) said.
In May, deposits with Bulgarian banks rose by an annual 7.6%, BNB said in a monthly monetary statistics report.
Corporate deposits by the non-financial sector grew by an annual 9.7% to 19.63 billion levs at the end of June, after increasing by an annual 10.1% in May.
Household deposits rose by 5.7% on the year to 45.8 billion levs in June, after increasing by 5.7% recorded at the end of May.
