January 7 (SeeNews) - Croatia's trade deficit increased to 64.4 billion kuna ($7.7 billion/ 8.6 billion euro) in the first 11 months of 2021, compared with a gap of 55.2 billion kuna in the same period of 2020, the country's statistical office said on Friday.
Exports rose 26.6% on the year to 129.1 billion kuna in the 11 months through November, while imports grew 23.1 % to 193.4 billion kuna, the Croatian Bureau of Statistics said in a statement, citing preliminary data.
Croatia's exports to the European Union (EU) increased by 28.2% year-on-year in the review period, reaching 89.1 billion kuna.
The country's imports from the EU rose by 18.5% to almost 148 billion kuna.
