November 9 (SeeNews) - Croatia's trade deficit increased to 100.4 billion kuna ($13.4 billion/13.3 billion euro) in the first nine months of the year, compared with a gap of 55.3 billion kuna in the same period of 2021, the country's statistical office said on Wednesday.
Exports rose 34% on the year to 132.7 billion kuna in the January-September period, while imports grew 51.1% to 233.1 billion kuna, the Croatian Bureau of Statistics said in a statement, quoting preliminary data.
Croatia's exports to the European Union (EU) increased by 35.5% year-on-year in the review period, reaching 91.2 billion kuna, whereas the country's imports from the EU rose by 37.1% to 162.5 billion kuna.
Croatia's trade deficit rose by 13% to 69.3 billion kuna last year.
