ZAGREB (Croatia), November 19 (SeeNews) – Croatian generic drugs maker PharmaS will launch in December the construction of a production and storage centre in the Popovaca area, in central Croatia, the Popovaca municipality said on Thursday.
The project will absorb around 300 million kuna ($61 million/41 million euro) over the next four to five years, the municipality said on its website.
The 4,930 square metre facility will have a production floorage of 750 square metres and will be located in the area's Misicka industrial zone.
The company, founded in 2008 by businessman Luka Rajic, plans to increase its staff to 100 in the next two to three years from the current 20, Croatian online business news portal Bankamagazine (www.banka.hr) reported on Wednesday.
According to PharmaS Director Zdravka Knezevic, the company (www.pharmas.hr) is currently focused on its development and positioning in Croatia, but that its goal is to expand throughout the region, Bankamagazine added.
