April 28 (SeeNews) - Croatia's biggest telecommunication services provider, Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT], said on Friday its consolidated net profit after non controlling interests rose 16.7% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2023, to 27.1 million euro ($29.8 million), primarily driven by lower depreciation, positive net financial result, and better EBITDA.
Operating profit (EBIT) added 10.3% to 34.1 million euro, the company said in a filing to the Zagreb bourse.
EBITDA after leases (EBITDA AL) rose 1.8% to 84.7 million euro, while revenue went up 6.3% to 241.3 million euro.
Operating expenses in the first quarter of 2023 grew by 10.9 million euro, or 8.1% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2023.
Deutsche Telekom Europe owns 53.02% of the Croatian company.
HT's shares traded 0.79% higher at 25.50 euro on Friday morning on the Zagreb bourse.
