January 9 (SeeNews) - Croatian blue-chip telecoms equipment producer Ericsson Nikola Tesla has signed deals worth a total of 12.5 million kuna ($2.5 million/1.7 million euro) with companies in Russia and Belarus, it said on Wednesday.
Ericsson Nikola Tesla has signed a deal with Russian telecommunication company ZAO City Telecom for the delivery of a new AXE Enabler-based exchange in the Russian city of Lesnoy, the Croatian company said in a statement.
Ericsson Nikola Tesla also signed the first contract for Telephony Soft Switch in the Russian capital Moscow with the country's third-largest wireless operator MegaFon.
“It is a contract within a frame agreement covering the zone and local (fixed) network in three mega regions”, Ericsson Nikola Tesla said.
The Croatian company also said it has signed in Russia several new deals in the enterprise systems area with various customers but did not elaborate.
In Belarus, Ericsson Nikola Tesla (www.ericsson.com/hr) has signed a contract with the national telecommunications operator Beltelecom for extension of the telephone exchange in the capital Minsk and two contracts for network upgrading in the cities of Gomel and Mogilev.
Ericsson Nikola Tesla’s shares traded at 3,373 kuna at 1430 GMT on Wednesday, up from 3,355 at the close on Tuesday. Swedish telecoms equipment giant Ericsson owns 49.07% of the Croatian company.
