September 27 (SeeNews) - The number of building permits issued in Croatia rose 17.7% year-on-year to 796 in July, after rising by an annual 12.9% in June, the statistical office said.
The number of permits issued for buildings increased by 22.6% on the year to 695 in July, while the number of permits issued for civil engineering projects fell to 101, down 7.3% compared to July 2020, the Croatian Bureau of Statistics said in a monthly report earlier this month.
Out of all permits issued in July, 78.5% covered new construction projects, while 21.5% were issued for reconstruction works.
Based on the number of permits issued in July, 1,144 dwellings are planned to be built, up 32.9% year-on-year.
The number of building permits issued in the first seven months of 2021 rose 19.7% year-on-year, the statistical office said.
