June 13 (SeeNews) - The number of construction permits issued in Croatia decreased by 9.1% year-on-year to 751 in April, after rising by 3.3% in the previous month, the national statistical office said on Wednesday.
The number of permits issued for buildings fell 8.1% on the year in April to 637, while the number of permits issued for civil engineering works dropped 14.3% to 114, the Croatian Bureau of Statistics said in a statement.
The planned value of works covered by the total number of construction permits issued in April reached 1.6 billion kuna ($254.6 million/216.7 million euro).
Out of the total number of permits issued in April, 546 were for new construction projects, while 205 related to reconstruction.
Based on the number of permits issued in April, 809 dwellings were planned, down 15.6% year-on-year.
