July 13 (SeeNews) - Croatian-UK EdTech startup STEM Studio said it raised over 500,000 euro ($502,000) in pre-seed funding, which is half of its target for a pre-seed funding round.
The investment comes from Meynald Weerman, founder and CCO of Typeqast, a company that provides agile and highly-qualified software development teams as a service, STEM Studio said in a press release.
“The investment from Meynald Weerman and Typeqast will help us explore further how we can better use software to enhance our own, and partner, hardware kits. Our vision is to reposition the way how STEM should be taught - using software to enhance the physical learning experience,” Marin Tomcic, one of STEM Studio's founders, said in the press release.
By the end of the year, STEM Studio will open up to the public and take on the B2C market with a strong product already tried and tested.
In addition to the office in London and Zagreb, the startup plans to open a development center in Croatia's second biggest town, Split.
