December 5 (SeeNews) - Romania's energy output through October fell by an annual 2.0% to 19.618 million tonnes of oil equivalent (TOE), the National Statistics Institute (INS) said on Wednesday.
Energy imports fell by an annual 1.9% in the period to 14.113 million TOE, INS said in a statement.
A TOE is the rounded-off amount of energy that would be produced by burning one metric tonne of crude oil.

Electricity generated in Romania and imports totalled 50.02 billion KWh in the period, down by 3.2% on the year, as domestic power production fell by 3.7%.
Exports of electricity in the first 10 months of 2007 fell by 39.4% year-on-year, or by a net 1.70 billion KWh.
