April 8 (SeeNews) - The number of people who died from the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Slovenia rose to 40 by Wednesday morning, up from 36 a day earlier, while the number of confirmed cases of the infection increased by 36 to 1,091, the government in Ljubljana said.
A total of 35 people are under intensive care out of all 111 who have been hospitalised, the government said on a website it has created to monitor the coronavirus spread in the country.
The latest count is based on the test results of 30,669 people.
The first confirmed coronavirus case in Slovenia was reported on March 4.
