April 21 (SeeNews) - Serbia has confirmed 26 more deaths from the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) since Thursday, bringing the death toll to 125, while the total number of infected people rose to 6,630 as of April 20, the country's health ministry said.
The country reported 312 COVID-19 cases and three deaths related to the virus on April 20, the health ministry said in a statement on Monday.
Seven coronavirus-related deaths were reported on Saturday and five more lethal cases were confirmed on Sunday, the health ministry said.
The number of COVID-19 related deaths reported on Friday was seven and four deaths were confirmed on Thursday.
A total of 3,703 COVID-19 patients were hospitalised as of April 20 and 108 of them were on mechanical breathing, the health ministry said.
The total number of citizens who recovered from the disease is 870.
Health minister Zlatibor Loncar announced the first case of COVID-19 in the country on March 6.
