BELGRADE (Serbia), October 9 (SeeNews) – Serbia's government said Chinese company ARTS Group will be in charge of the design of an industrial park in Belgrade, to be built in cooperation with China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC).
Serbian minister without portfolio in charge of innovation, Nenad Popovic, will hold a meeting with the management of ARTS Group during a three-day visit to China starting on Monday, the government said in a statement on Sunday.
Popovic will also visit the Suzhou industrial park, designed by ARTS Group, and will hold meetings with the management of CRBC and Huawei.
In May, Belgrade mayor Sinisa Mali signed in Beijing a cooperation agreement with CRBC for the construction of an industrial park in Serbia's capital. The industrial park will be located on the left bank of the Danube river, near the Pupin bridge, and the project will open thousands of jobs. At least ten companies from China and other countries will set foot in Serbia as a result of the project, Mali said back then.
