August 30 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian manufacturer of cardboard packaging and cigarette filters Yuri Gagarin [BUL:YGAG] said on Monday that its consolidated net profit went up to 741,000 levs ($447,300/379,100 euro) in the first half of 2021 from 554,000 levs in the same period of last year.
Yuri Gagarin's consolidated revenue rose to 67.5 million levs in the first six months of this year from 52.5 million levs a year earlier, the company said in an interim financial statement.
The company's operating expenses amounted to 42.3 million levs in the review period, up from 39.3 million levs in the first half of 2020, as the cost of materials increased to 31.4 million levs from 28.8 million levs, the financial statement showed.
Yuri Gagarin manufactures multi-colour printed packaging and labels of cardboard and paper for the cigarette, food, cosmetic and other industries.
Shares in Yuri Gagarin last traded on Friday, closing at 7.50 levs on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE), bourse data showed.
