September 29 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria’s electricity production fell by an annual 8.12% to 29,940 GWh in the January 1 - September 27 period of 2020, according to data from the country's Electricity System Operator (ESO).
Domestic power consumption fell 3.95% to 27,009 GWh, data from ESO's weekly bulletin showed.
Electricity exports exceeded imports by 2,931 GWh during the review period, which represents a 34.37% year-on-year decrease in the power trade surplus.
The volume of renewable energy in the transmission system increased 12.51% year-on-year to 1,020 GWh, while the volume of renewable energy in the distribution system rose 7.39% to 1,533 GWh.
