January 4 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's Yambol municipality said on Monday that it awarded a 12.5 million levs ($7.9 million/6.4 million euro) waste management contract to local company Sort Comers.
The deal was signed on November 21, the municipality said in a notice published on the website of the public procurement agency.
Under the terms of the contract, Sort Comers will be responsible for the sorting and treatment of mixed household waste collected on the territory of Yambol Region along with transportation services.
Yambol-based Yambol-based Sort Comers submitted the sole offer in the tender. The company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of local commercial packaging recovery group Ecobulpack, according to commercial registry data.
