SOFIA (Bulgaria), September 21 (SeeNews) – Bulgarian drug distributor Sopharma Trading [BUL:SO5] said on Thursday it has opened its first pharmacy in the town of Sandanski, in the southwest of the country, under the SOpharmacy brand.
This is Sopharma Trading’s 22nd pharmacy in the country, the company said in a statement.
In May, Sopharma Trading said it will seek regulatory approval to acquire 19 pharmacies making up PharmaStore chain. The Commission for Protection of Competition said in June it is launching an in-depth investigation before deciding whether to grant approval for the acquisition as it might potentially lead to distortion of competition.
As at 1520 CET on Thursday, Sopharma Trading shares were traded 2.14% lower at 7.003 levs ($4.27/3.58 euro).
