August 6 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian drug maker Sopharma [BUL:3JR] said it bought back 276,414 own shares at an average price of 3.33 levs ($2.3/1.7 levs) each between July 25 and July 31 under its share repurchase programme.
The buyback represents a 0.21% stake in the company, Sopharma said in a statement filed with the Bulgarian Stock Exchange on Thursday. The overall value of the transaction stood at 920,042 levs.
The company has already bought back 4.9 million own shares, equal to 3.72% of its equity. Sopharma plans to repurchace 10% of its own capital under a five-year program approved in June 2010.
