The company intends to actively cooperate with organizations, universities and companies in North Macedonia to contribute to the development of information and digital technology, PM Zaev said in a press release on Monday, after the signing of a cooperation agreement between the government and ScaleFocus.
ScaleFocus will integrate its software solutions into existing leading products of IBM, Oracle, Microsoft, Appian and other global companies, Zaev said, adding that the company's technical centre in Skopje will represent a further expansion of the company's potential.
"The investment by ScaleFocus makes North Macedonia an important location on the map of software industry and information technology," the prime minister said.
Deputy prime minister in charge of economic affairs Kocho Angjushev said that ScaleFocus employs over 1,000 people and currently works for 300 clients on 500 projects.
Plamen Tsekov, CEO and founder of ScaleFocus, said at the signing ceremony that the company has decided to invest in North Macedonia because of the huge potential and the pool of talented young people in the area of information technologies who will have the opportunity to join the global IT industry by working on European projects for European salaries in their home country.
"We believe that in this way we'll help North Macedonia move faster on its path to EU membership," Tsekov said, according to the press release.
