SOFIA (Bulgaria), February 19 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's revenue from visits by foreign tourists increased by 0.4% year-on-year to 3.7 billion euro ($4.0 billion) in 2019, the tourism ministry said on Wednesday, quoting central bank data.
In December alone, Bulgaria's revenue from foreign tourist visits increased by 10% year-on-year to 165 million euro, the tourism ministry said in a statement.
Approximately 9.3 million foreign tourists visited Bulgaria last year, marking a 0.4% increase compared to 2018. Some 479,300 foreign tourists visited Bulgaria in December, up by 9.2% year-on-year, the tourism ministry said.
