October 21 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's third largest lender by assets, Fibank [BUL:5F4], led the blue-chip gainers on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) on Friday.
Fibank shares closed 3.00% higher at 2.613 levs with 17,872 shares changing hands during the trading session.
The blue-chip SOFIX index rose by 0.39% to 505.72, after retreating by 0.12% on Thursday.
The broader BGBX40, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the BSE, closed 0.34% higher at 96.66, after remaining unchanged on Thursday.
The BG-REIT index, which tracks the performance of the real estate investment trusts, added 0.17% to 103.41, after edging down 0.10% on Thursday.
The BG TotalReturn30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, gained 0.18% to 405.74. In the previous trading session, the index closed 0.13% higher.
Total stock turnover fell to 396,800 levs ($220,800/203,000 euro), from Thursday's 643,216 levs.
Bulgarian construction company Trace Group Hold [BUL:T57] led the blue-chip decliners, falling 1.28% to 4.935 levs, as 346 shares changed hands.
Chimimport [BUL:6C4] was the most traded blue chip on Friday with 26,428 shares changing hands at an average price of 1.355 levs.
