January 9 (SeeNews) - The privately-owned Deva Maria University Hospital, based in the coastal city of Burgas, will invest 5.9 million levs ($3.3 million/3 million euro) in the expansion of its outpatient clinic, Bulgaria's state investment agency said on Tuesday.
The investment foresees the construction of a new building at the Deva Maria medical centre, with 50 new jobs to be created, Invest Bulgaria agency said in a press release.
The new building will feature 14 offices for general practitioners and 14 offices for specialists, as well as beds for monitoring patients up to 24 hours. The hospital will also invest in new equipment for diagnostic and treatment.
The multidisciplinary hospital for active treatment, which has 12 specialist departments, originated from the private Saint Sofia medical centre and began operations in 2009.
