September 7 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's bTV Media Group said on Friday it appointed Tonislav Popov as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), management board member and executive director.
As of October 1, Popov will take over the roles and responsibilities of David Stepan who will embark on new challenges after more than two years with the company, bTV Media Group said in an e-mailed statement.
"I am very pleased to welcome Tonislav Popov on board. I am convinced his knowledge, expertise and experience, gained and successfully applied in a highly competitive international business environment, will be a great asset to bTV Media Group and will contribute to reinforcing our achievements," Florian Skala, CEO of bTV Media Group, said.
Before joining bTV Media Group Popov served as Global Finance Director Consumer Healthcare Export at GSK, based in the UK, where he has held various finance management positions on global and multinational level for nearly eight years.
In Bulgaria, BTV Media Group's main rival is Nova Broadcasting Group, 95%-owned by Sweden-based entertainment company Modern Times Group (MTG).
BTV Media Group is owned by Bermuda-registered Central European Media Enterprises.
