December 2 (SeeNews) - The share indices on the bourse in Sofia ended mostly higher on Wednesday with trading enlivened by the debut of Bulgarian agricultural group BG Agro, bourse data showed.
The SOFIX index, which comprises the 20 most liquid shares trading on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE), inched 0.02% higher to 452.34 points after adding 0.1% the previous day. The broader BG40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the bourse, fell 0.23% to 122.43 points after sliding 0.08% on Tuesday.
Total turnover, excluding block and other pre-agreed deals, rose to 9.5 million levs ($7.3 million/4.9 million euro) from 6.9 million levs on Tuesday when trading in bonds of real estate investment trust (REIT) Health and Wellness boosted the overall daily turnover.
BG Agro was the most liquid stock on the bourse on Wednesday. A total 5,191,767 of the company shares changed hands, closing unchanged at 1.67 levs.
Advancers equalled decliners at 33 each and 15 stocks ended flat.
Among the blue chips Sopharma was the most traded issue, in a volume of 37,466 stocks which closed 0.74% higher at 4.1 levs.
The BG-REIT index, which tracks the performance of real estate investment trusts, gained 2.19% to 48.43 points after losing 1.68% on Tuesday. The BG TotalReturn30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, added 0.1% to 344.26 points after ending 0.17% down on Tuesday.
The Dnevnik 20 index, calculated by local business daily Dnevnik from the share prices of the 20 leading companies in terms of liquidity and market capitalisation, added 0.16% to 64.55 poins after it advanced 0.09% the previous day.
