SOFIA (Bulgaria), December 8 (SeeNews) – The share indices on the bourse in Sofia extended their losses on Tuesday, while turnover remained almost unchanged, bourse data showed.
The SOFIX index, which comprises the 20 most liquid shares trading on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE), fell 1.2% to 442.29 points and the broader BG40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the bourse, inched 0.06% higher to 119.52 points.
On Monday, the SOFIX slid 1.11% and BG40 fell 1.15%.
Total turnover, excluding block and other pre-agreed deals, edged up to 1.24 million levs from 1.20 million levs on Monday.
Decliners outnumbered advancers 46 by 15 and 14 stocks closed unchanged.
Central Cooperative Bank was among the most liquid blue chips on Tuesday as 174,924 of its shares changed hands 3.285% lower at 1.325 levs.
Two out of the 18 blue chips that were traded on Tuesday advanced, one ended flat and the rest lost ground.
The BG-REIT index, which tracks the performance of real estate investment trusts, dropped 1.07% to 48.16 points after losing 0.43% the previous day. The BG TotalReturn30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, skidded 0.89% to 336.79 points after ticking 0.72% down a day ago.
The Dnevnik 20 index, calculated by local business daily Dnevnik from the share prices of the 20 leading companies in terms of liquidity and market capitalisation, slid 0.87% to 62.76 points after a daily drop of 0.5% on Monday.
