December 10 (SeeNews) - The Bulgarian share indices on Thursday closed mixed in a higher turnover, bourse data showed.
The SOFIX index, which comprises the 20 most liquid shares trading on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE), dropped 0.61% to 431.46 points after falling 1.85% on Wednesday.
The broader BG40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the bourse, rose 0.21% to 118.32 points after a 1.21% decline on Wednesday.
Total turnover, excluding block and other pre-agreed deals, rose to 3.35 million levs ($2.52 million/ 1.71 million euro) from 2.6 million levs on Wednesday. Almost 1.25 million levs of Thursday's turnover was made by trading in corporate bonds.
Thirty-four shares declined, 27 gained and 24 ended flat on Thursday.
Five of the 16 traded SOFIX components closed higher nine ended in the red and two were flat.
Iinsurance and leasing group Eurohold Bulgaria was the most liquid blue-chip company on Thursday. Its stock rose 0.6% to 1.33 levs in a volume of 516,870 shares.
The BG-REIT index, which tracks the performance of real estate investment trusts, ended 0.25% higher at 48.10 points. The BG TotalReturn30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, slid 0.32% to 331.08.
On Tuesday, the BG-REIT dropped 0.37% and the BG TotalReturn30 ticked 1.38% down.
The Dnevnik 20 index, calculated by local business daily Dnevnik from the share prices of the 20 leading companies in terms of liquidity and market capitalisation, decreased -0.32% to 61.41 points after a daily decline of 1.83%.
