April 4 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's government said on Wednesday it has awarded three concessions for limestone mining to three local companies.
Basalt Bulgaria was awarded a 25-year concession for the north and south sections of the Stanchova Mogila deposit, in the north of the country, the government said in a statement.
Under the terms of the contract, Basalt Bulgaria will pay a total of 2.8 million levs ($1.8 million/1.4 million euro) in concession fees and will invest 5.5 million levs in the project's development.
Bulgaria also awarded 35-year concession contracts for the Pravda deposit, in northeast Bulgaria, and Kasibo deposit, in the northwest part of the country, to local companies Patperfect-T and Kraltrace.
Patperfect-T will pay 2 million levs in concession fees and will invest 1.3 million levs in the Pravda deposit, while Kraltrace will make concession payments of over 1 million levs and will invest an additional 360,000 levs in the Kasibo deposit.
